A successful performance of ProCredit Bank for the first six months of the year

Prishtina, August 08, 2008 - ProCredit Bank has had a successful balance sheet statement with a total of the active portfolio of 592 million euros – confirming the fact of being the first and the biggest bank in the banking industry in Kosova. 
 
The deposits in our bank comprise 42% of the overall deposits in the banking market in the country – reaching the amount of 504 million euros.
 
“These results motivate us to continue offering a very intelligible and a transparent way of savings. Through our services and our initiatives regarding savings, we aim to emphasize the importance and the real value of savings” stressed Ilir Aliu, Deputy CEO of ProCredit Bank 
 
Otherwise, in these first six months there has been a rise of 22% in the active loans portfolio, reaching the amount of 407 million euros.
 
Furthermore, the executive management of the bank considered of a great importance the growth of regional presence this year, with the opening of nine new branches of the bank, concentrating in rural areas as well, like in Mamushë, Roganë, Junik, with its purpose of offering necessary banking services to this part of society.
 
 “Our achievements in the first six month of this year come as a result of our continuous efforts in offering the most fitting services for all the citizens and businesses in Kosova, promoting a rational banking approach in Kosova: added Mr. Aliu.
 
Proredit Bank is continuing to offer the most fitting products and services for its clients and the fact is that from June 2008 it has raised its yearly interest rates for savings accounts from 2% to 2.5% - the highest interest rate in the banking sector in Kosova.
 
Besides this, the interest rates have shown a raise even in other savings products – time deposit accounts. ProCredit Bank has even an special offer for all its clients that have decided to bring their savings to the bank.  Until August 31st, all the clients that place their savings in time deposit accounts are offered an extra interest of 0.3% on the interest of the deposited amount.

ProCredit Bank, supported by The Central Banking Authority of Kosova has launched educational brochure “How to approach a bank” – a brochure that aims to further explain banking operations and its purpose is to help the public in communication with banking officers and to give important information about the possibility of receiving loans and the importance of savings.     
 
In April, our bank has made a move towards facilitating conditions for agro loans decreasing yearly interest rates for about 2% for agro loans as well as it has extended the maturity of agro investment loans up to 84 months.
