Internal Environmental Management System

The internal environmental management system aims to advance the Bank's internal environmental performance, such as investing in branch infrastructure for efficient energy use, reducing electricity and fuel consumption, reducing water usage, reducing use and recycling paper, plastic, etc.

Today we have a highly efficient internal environmental management system thanks to:

  • Implementing energy efficiency measures, both technically and in the way our staff behaves toward these resources

  • Setting objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions resulting from our banking operations

  • Continuously increasing staff awareness and knowledge about the environment

  • Compliance with local environmental standards and regulations

  • Evaluating the sustainability of business practices of suppliers, in addition to actively engaging in discussions to raise their awareness and improve their environmental and social impact; commitment to working with suppliers who operate in compliance with the environmental and social standards set by ProCredit Bank

What exactly have we done as ProCredit Bank Kosova?

1

Investment in the ProEnergy Solar Park in Kosovo

This project, in its first year of operation, generated 4,137 MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the electricity consumed by about 500 families.

2

Vehicle fleet

Our fleet now comprises 61% plug-in hybrids and electric cars. ProCredit’s objective for vehicles is to be 100% electric by 2027.

3

Solar panels at our branches

We have invested in solar panels that offset a considerable portion of the electricity bill for our Head Office and one of our branches

4

100% recycled paper

We have significantly reduced paper usage by investing in digital signature technology. We also have a 100% paper recycling rate.

5

Reducing water consumption

We have reduced water consumption by investing in efficient equipment as well as smart devices to monitor the amount of water used

6

Electric vehicle chargers

We have made electric vehicle charging infrastructure available to the general public by investing in charging stations throughout Kosovo.

7

EDGE Standard

ProCredit Bank Kosova is certified under the EDGE green building standard. We are the first bank in Kosovo to receive such certification.

8

Free public transport for staff

To reduce environmental pollution, all ProCredit staff have the ProUrban Card, which provides free public transport financed by the bank.

Did you know?

All ProCredit Bank Cards are made from recycled material, delivered to clients by electric car, and placed in recycled envelopes.

Choosing to use the new ProCredit Bank cards reflects your commitment to protecting the environment, as eco-friendly materials reduce the negative impact of plastics, the use of electric vehicles reduces air pollution, and recycled materials reduce the need for new resources..
