With the upcoming implementation of CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and the increasing regulatory demands across Europe, investing in tools to measure and manage CO₂ emissions is no longer just a choice – it is a necessity.
This journey toward a Net Zero economy is central to the identity of ProCredit Bank. Recognizing the critical importance of reducing carbon emissions and remaining committed to supporting businesses in this transition — both within and beyond the organization — we have pledged to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030 (compared to 2022), enabling the achievement of Net Zero by 2050. We have also committed to engage and inform 28% of our clients by 2027.
Measuring CO₂ emissions is the first step on the path to decarbonization.
That’s why we are committed to supporting businesses to actively participate in this transition.
We have invested in Kosovo’s first CO₂ Emissions Calculator, specifically designed for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Through this, businesses can achieve significant cost savings by improving efficiency, reduce emissions, and focus more strongly on environmental responsibility — paving the way toward a greener future.
This innovative application is based on the GHG Protocol and IPCC guidelines, with the goal of offering a practical tool for accurate measurement of carbon emissions generated by business activities and production processes.

Its use is completely free of charge, offered as a non-financial form of support from ProCredit Bank to promote sustainable development within the private sector.
The calculator generates detailed emissions reports in both web format and PDF, compliant with relevant environmental regulations. These reports can be used to support loan applications or reporting to contractors who require ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance.
