Pristina, 25 August 2006 – In the first six-month period this year, ProCredit Bank has successfully concluded the balance sheet, with total assets of 409 million euros.
The deposits of ProCredit Bank clients have reached the amount of 360 million euros, and thus as far as savings are concerned ProCredit Bank still holds the number one ranking in the overall banking system!
The amount of loans has risen quickly and in the first six-month period this figure reached 115 million euros, and the active amount of loans reached over 213 million euros. One needs to emphasize that the loans portfolio has grown more quickly than the total of loans of the banking system in Kosovo.
At the same time, in 2005 ProCredit Bank has operated with a net yearly income of 4.8 million euros, and our shareholders this year have increased the bank’s capital increasing it to 20 million euros.
“The excellent results of this six-month period make us optimistic for the financial future of the Kosovar market! And this certainly requires a continuous commitment to our clients,” says Florin Lila, deputy director of ProCredit Bank.
In addition to this, our bank has also opened three new branches in the towns of Besiana, Viti and Theranda, while developing its business activities and providing bank services to the citizens. The ProCredit Bank network in the country now numbers 28 branches and by the end of the year we plan to open several new ones. At the same time, the number of ATMs throughout Kosovo has reached 52 so that the clients of our bank have 24/7 access to their accounts
So far, ProCredit Bank has installed over 1.100 POS terminals and has issued over 140.000 international cards, which is proof of ProCredit Bank’s contribution to the efforts to downsize the use of cash in Kosovar economy.
ProCredit Bank is oriented toward social development and proof of this is the constant support for cultural and social activities through sponsorships, with the aim of facilitating the cultural and educational development of our country.
