Prishtina, 23 February 2006 – Witnessing the need for banking services in the town of Besiana, ProCredit Bank has inaugurated today its new sub-branch to be as close as possible to the residents.
The sub-branch in Besiana will offer full banking services to over 60,000 residents and many businesses that perform their activities in that area, starting from opening bank accounts and giving out various loans with a special focus on consumer loans, small business loans, agricultural loans, etc.
So far, the residents of Llap region have used the ProCredit branch in Prishtina to carry out their banking services but as of today they can do this in their own region without having to travel for miles.
“We didn’t accidentally choose Besiana to open our sub-branch. This is a continuation of our policy to be present where there are clients,” said the head of the sub-branch, Eriola Bibolli.
According to Bibolli, the purpose of ProCredit Bank is to become an important factor in developing the local economy and improving the well-being of the community they serve.
After opening the sub-branch in Besiana, ProCredit now numbers 18 sub-branches along with the other 7 main branches throughout Kosovo.
ProCredit Bank continues to be the leader of the financial market in Kosovo both in deposits and the loans portfolio. To be more precise, ProCredit numbers over 150.000 clients, with a total amount of deposits of citizens and organizations of over 340 million euros, or 42% of the total deposits in the banking system in Kosovo. The total of loans issued by ProCredit Bank in 2005 has reached an amount of 155 million euros which make ProCredit the most reliable and the leading bank in the Kosovar market.
