ProCredit Bank opens additional branches in Skenderaj, Kaçanik and Malishevë

Prishtina,  June 10, 2007 - ProCredit Bank, the first bank in Kosovo, this year initiated its expansion of the banking activities, altogether establishing additional branches in Skenderai, Kacanik and Malishevë.

“We will continue to open additional branches in the territory of Kosovo, especially in rural areas. This depicts bank’s devotion in being in places where our clients need banking products and services that we offer. We believe that there is a big need for loans for farmers to buy equipment in order to develop the agriculture sector. Kosovo has many agricultural areas and it is important to set up a good banking infrastructure in these areas” said Mr. Philip Sigwart the CEO of Pro Credit Bank.

“In coherence with our fundamental objectives, offering a wide range of banking services to our clients, new branches are located in places where  provisions of loans for micro and agricultural businesses will create significant number of jobs thus, helping to develop the local economy” declared Mr. Sigwart

Pro Credit bank, nowadays, has more than 150 000 clients with total deposits, from citizens and organizations, reaching 400 million euros, or more than 40% of the total deposits of Kosovo’s banking system.

This is accomplished as a result of our continuous efforts in promoting saving culture, since we’re convinced that savings provide stability for our clients and, of course, helps the development of the country’s economy.

Up to know, Pro Credit Bank, gave more than 750 million euros in loans, thus increasing the active portfolio of loans to 290 million euros (April 2007), which best describes a healthy and powerful growth of our loan portfolio.

Furthermore, up to now, Pro Credit has installed more than 2000 POS terminals in many shops, while the number of our ATM’s grew to 62 in the territory of Kosovo, which offers access to our clients in their money 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
