Prishtina, June 28, 2007 – Pro Credit Bank, the most successful bank in the country, leads the taxpayers list as the most regular taxpayer for the year 2006.
This was revealed during an appreciation ceremony organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Tax Administration of Kosovo.
Eriola Bibolli, Head of Finance and Control Department at ProCredit Bank, after receiving the award, stated that the reward proves ProCredit Bank’s continuous contribute towards social and economical development as well as our consistent efforts to improve the macroeconomic stability in the country.
“By being the largest bank in Kosovo, it is consequent to be among the largest tax payers of the country. ProCredit Bank as a fully responsible institution has developed self-assessment procedures and volunteer tax compliance practices, as we are aware that fiscal policy and the tax revenues are an essential part of Kosovo’s economic policies” said Bibolli.
“All the companies that received the awards make a valuable impact for the Kosovar society, not only for being regular taxpayers, but also for the number of jobs that they generate and development of the business environment” said Mimoza Kusari Lila, the director of the American Chamber of Commerce.
This is the second time that The American Chamber of Commerce and the Tax Administration of Kosovo reward the companies that pay taxes regularly, moreover this year the list expanded from 13 (the number of companies rewarded last year) to 15 companies that received the award this year.
Altogether, 15 companies that were awarded contributed around 15 million euros to Kosovo’s budget.
