ProCredit Bank supports participation of the Kosovo team in the International Mathematical Olympiad in Amsterdam

Prishtina, July 19, 2011 - The Kosovo representation team continues its competition in the second day of International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Amsterdam. This is the first time for Kosovo to participate as a full member of this important event on high school mathematics.

International Mathematical Olympiad is an annual mathematics competition for pre-university students. It is the oldest among science Olympiads, and was first held in Romania in 1959. This year, the Olympiad will be held in Amsterdam with participation from over 100 countries.

The Kosovo team was selected through Kosovo Mathematical Olympiad, held in March 2011, organized by the Association of Mathematicians in Kosovo, supported by ProCredit Bank. Our team members are Endrit Fejzullahu (Gjilan), Islam Foniqi (Malishevë) Zojë Selimi (Klinë), Shqipron Shala (Pejë), Hamdi Dërvodeli (Gjilan), and Arber Selimi (Klinë/ Pejë). The team of students shall be accompanied by Professor Ramadan Limani (Team Leader) and Professor Kajtaz Bllaca (Deputy Leader).

It is worth mentioning that ProCredit Bank has made it possible for the Kosovo Team to travel to Amsterdam.
IMO test results are expected to be announced on Saturday, July 23, while the Kosovo team returns home on July 24.
