Pristina, 22 March 2012- To celebrate World Water Day on 22 March, ProCredit Bank’s staff distributed thousands of litres of drinking water to residents of Sazli, a village in the municipality of Ferizaj which does not have access to drinking water.
Residents of Sazli village are currently dependent on water supplies from the city of Ferizaj. By highlighting this village and others like it in Kosovo which have no access to drinking water, the bank aims to promote a responsible approach towards the environment.
By contributing to environmental efforts taking place around globe to mark World Water Day, ProCredit Bank seeks to focus attention on the importance of preserving fresh water sources and ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water.
The celebration of World Water Day in Sazli is the first of several environmental initiatives planned by ProCredit Bank for 2012.
