Prishtina, 2 October 2012 – ProCredit Bank is pleased to announce that VISA (Classic, Globe, Enterprise), Maestro and MasterCard holders can now make online purchases more securely thanks to the introduction of the latest 3-D Secure platform.
This service, which is new in the Kosovo banking sector, allows ProCredit Bank customers to make online purchases using an Internet personal identification number (iPIN).
“We place top priority on the the security of our customers’ funds. Therefore, in response to the increasing trend in online purchases in Kosovo, we have launched the 3-D Secure platform, which strengthens security measures for payments and purchases made via the Internet”, said Ilir I. Aliu, ProCredit Bank management.
In order to take advantage of the 3-D Secure platform, customers need to apply for an iPIN at any one of ProCredit Bank’s 150 ATMs in Kosovo. The iPIN is a four-digit number which acts as an additional confirmation tool when users make online purchases from participating websites.
In this way, the 3-D Secure platform enables private and business clients to conduct more secure online purchases.
