ProCredit Bank signs an agreement on the advancement of domestic agriculture

ProCredit Bank and the Agency for Agricultural Development, which is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, have signed a co-operation agreement that is aimed at making further advancements in support of agriculture in Kosovo.

As part of the agreement, ProCredit Bank and the agency will co-ordinate their joint activities and  initiate measures to promote and advance agriculture in Kosovo. The agreement also provides for the exchange of information related to banking services for agricultural businesses and to the agricultural sector in general.

ProCredit Bank welcomes the initiative, especially given the significance of agriculture in Kosovo and the potential the sector has to stimulate economic growth, including the capacity to generate employment.

“We will continue to be the leading partner of agricultural businesses and farmers in Kosovo, in line with our bank’s mission and goals towards financing growth rather than consumerism,” said Mr Ilir I. Aliu, General Director of ProCredit Bank, on the occasion of signing the agreement.

This is why the agricultural sector remains one of the main priorities of ProCredit Bank, which provides intensive financing and customised banking services dedicated to agricultural businesses, along with sound advice from teams of specially trained advisers.

ProCredit Bank has been providing access to finance for farmers since 2002, the first bank in Kosovo to do so. Since then, ProCredit Bank continues to lead the market for agricultural lending, with a portfolio of around EUR 40 million.
