ProCredit Bank gathers 100 businesses from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia to improve and expand regional co-operation

On the initiative of ProCredit Bank, businesses from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia were invited to meet in Prishtina on Thursday to take part in a regional forum. About one hundred businesses from the foodstuffs, production and distribution sectors attended with the purpose of establishing relationships between the food producers on one hand and the distribution and retail businesses on the other.

As a bank specialised in supporting businesses, ProCredit took this initiative because we believe that establishing new contacts and partnerships are essential elements in business development.
“This regional meeting fits perfectly with ProCredit’s spirit of supporting businesses. We have established an efficient regional banking infrastructure, which facilitates co-operation between businesses in this part of Europe”, Ilir I. Aliu, Chief Executive Officer of ProCredit Bank in Kosovo, stated.
“ProCredit is the most powerful banking group specialising in providing services to small and medium enterprises in the region”, said Besnik Berisha, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ProCredit Bank Albania.
ProCredit Banks in Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania are part of a network of 11 affiliated banks successfully operating in South-Eastern Europe.

The businesses attending the forum felt it was a great opportunity to expand regional co-operation.
Nderim Halimi, representing Sharri, a diary from Prizren, highly appreciated the event, considering it “a good opportunity for trade exchange among businesses from countries in the region”.
Aqif Qaqa, President of the Albanian Mireli company, stated: “We have been thinking of coming to Kosovo for a while now, and ProCredit Bank has created this opportunity for us. Today, we have access to all the possibilities and the capacity to work with Kosovo and Macedonia”.
Meanwhile, Abedin Murati, owner of three companies in Tetova, said: “this is the first time that I have attended a meeting between businesses from all three states. I can clearly see there is great interest in co-operation between businesses from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia”.
ProCredit Bank highlighted that it will continue to support businesses, by applying the best German banking practices.

Last year, ProCredit Group started organising such forums and today’s meeting is the fourth forum set up by ProCredit Banks in the region.
