ProCredit Bank in Kosovo continues its responsible approach to environmental protection.
This time, the Bank has enriched its fleet of vehicles by purchasing 10 new Mitsubishi i-MiEV vehicles, which work 100% on electricity emitting zero environmental pollution.
These vehicles undoubtedly reflect the orientation of ProCredit Bank towards the environmental protection. By purchasing these vehicles, we have highlighted the connection between the carbon dioxide emission and the urban pollution.
“Taking measures to lower the environmental pollution in face of current climate changes is a matter that requires urgent treatment. Therefore, the environmental protection is a responsibility of every one of us, regardless of the profile of our activity. The enrichment of our fleet of vehicles with these vehicles confirms the commitment of our Bank to the environmental protection,” Ilir I. Aliu, CEO of ProCredit Bank stated.
These vehicles are known as highly economic, spending approximately 12.5 kWh per 100 km - distance travelled. Their power is 49kW (66 hp); they are equipped with batteries that have a capacity of 16kWh, and are recharged in about 8 hours.
However, the limited number of electric vehicle charging stations is a momentary obstacle; therefore, the ProCredit Bank has constructed such stations in the vicinity of its branches in its 6 main centers.
In order to further promote the spirit of environmental protection in the country, ProCredit Bank shall put these electric vehicle charging stations at the disposal of the Bank clients who possess electric vehicles. Their use is free of charge.
Based on the manufacturer’s data, the biggest environmental advantage of these vehicles is that they lower by up to 100% the emission of air pollutants that significantly contribute to the smog/fog in big cities.
