Pristina, August 2025 – On the occasion of its 25th anniversary in the banking market in Kosovo, ProCredit Bank Kosovo introduces Apple Pay for its clients – a safer, more secure, and more private way to pay using iPhone and Apple Watch. This new service allows clients to avoid handing over their payment card to others, touching physical buttons, or exchanging cash, by using the power of the iPhone to protect every transaction.
Clients can make contactless payments by holding their iPhone or Apple Watch near the payment terminal. Every Apple Pay transaction is secure, verified through Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode, and includes a unique dynamic security code generated for each payment. Apple Pay is widely accepted in supermarkets, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, cafes, shops, and many other points of sale.
Apple Pay can also be used on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for faster and more convenient purchases in apps or online via Safari, without the need to create accounts or repeatedly enter shipping and billing information. It simplifies payments for food and deliveries, online shopping, transportation, parking, and other everyday services. Apple Pay can also be used in apps via Apple Watch.
Security and privacy are fundamental to Apple Pay. When clients use their debit or credit cards with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a Device Account Number is created, encrypted, and securely stored in the Secure Element – a certified chip designed to keep payment information safe according to industry standards.
Apple Pay is easy to set up. On iPhone, clients simply open the Wallet app, tap the + sign, and follow the steps to add their ProCredit Bank Kosovo debit or credit cards. Once the cards are added to iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac, Apple Pay can be used immediately. Clients will continue to benefit from all the rewards and advantages their ProCredit Bank Kosovo cards offer.
