Main phases of the programme

Greetings and welcome! For those of you who have not completed an internship with us, this section will be your first introduction to ProCredit Bank. During the first week, you will discover our purpose at ProCredit. The training will take place at our Head Office. Be ready to learn more about ProCredit by thoroughly exploring the following questions: What is ProCredit? What is our strategy and mission? What is ProCredit’s banking approach? What makes ProCredit a “responsible bank”? Moreover, you will become familiar with our core values and principles, which are part of our Code of Conduct. Most importantly, we will clearly explain who we are and who we are not! An exciting week awaits you.

Our core values This section goes beyond the usual discussions in the client-bank relationship, delving into ProCredit Bank’s philosophical approach to everything it does. Here, we explore the moral dimensions that define our relationships with clients. Furthermore, this section addresses the decision-making processes where each decision is backed by justice and morality. Moreover, in these discussions, special attention is given to diversity, as it plays a key role in fostering innovation and creating an ethical and productive work environment.

“We are not only responsible for what we do but also for what we do not do.” – Moliere. This section challenges us to ask ourselves: Who am I? What makes me who I am? Who do I want to be? Do my actions reflect how I see myself? Do these questions also apply to financial institutions like ProCredit? Finding answers to these questions is vital not only for getting to know our identity on a deeper level but also for confirming your choice of ProCredit as your future employer.

This section focuses on a deeper understanding of the key concepts of how time affects our money. Get ready to learn about typical banking topics like interest rates, loans, and deposits.

Do we choose our clients, or do they choose us? In this section, we will discuss how the long-term relationships we build with our clients are based on mutual understanding, trust, and shared values. This relationship is translated into understanding their financial needs and providing solutions that meet those needs, such as advice on loans or deposits, or equipping them with our digital services so that they can conduct transactions independently.

Why does sustainability matter to ProCredit? This section will challenge you on what we can do as individuals and as employees of a bank to protect the planet we live on. At ProCredit, we are convinced that we can do a lot, which is why you will become familiar with our sustainability approach. Read more about how we treat the environment and about the policies we apply to ourselves and our clients.

This section allows you to take a closer look at the impact of financial institutions on social developments. Together we will challenge banking stereotypes, learn more about the evolution of money, and the role of ProCredit Bank as a developmental bank. The section addresses the social impact of banking and analyses the individual and organisational roles we all play in shaping and challenging norms within the dynamic financial sector.

This section is offered at ProCredit at the Head Office before you take on your daily tasks as a new member of our staff. A short welcome training session awaits you where you will learn more about: - The bank’s organisational structure - Your involvement in various mandatory training sessions - The opportunity to build relationships with the more experienced members of the team and gain practical knowledge from various departments within the bank

Before you take on your regular tasks, this section will help you advance further and prepare you to start your job by learning how to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. If you have previous experience, we will provide useful tips on how to further improve your skills.

Back in the office! You have already been part of ProCredit Bank for several weeks. That means that you have successfully completed the internship and various training modules at the Avala Training Centre mentioned above. Now it’s time to resume practical training for the “real” job, the one you will do every day in the position that is assigned to you. Based on your contribution so far, as well as your potential and the bank’s current needs, we will assign you a position that best matches your skills.

The final project marks the end of the ProCredit Onboarding Programme, presenting an opportunity for the candidates to showcase the professional and personal growth they have achieved during the programme. Now it’s your turn: We expect you to apply this knowledge in practice when communicating with clients, bank partners, and colleagues.
